Meesha Shafi’s Arrest Warrant Issued in Ali Zafar Defamation Case

Meesha Shafi is facing trial in a defamation case. She was booked for running a defamation campaign against renowned singer Ali Zafar. Recently, Meesha filed an ‘exemption from attendance’ application at Lahore High Court. The application was rejected on basis of invalid justification, and the hon’ble high court judge issued immediate arrest warrants of the accused Meesha. Not only this, the same application was filled by all co-accused in the case. The court didn’t accept any application except for one.

The arrest warrant of Meesha was bailable, she got bail from the court before the police could capture her. According to details, Meesha paid around Rs. 50000 as surety to get the bail from the high court. She was directed to present herself at the next hearing of the case. Moreover, Meesha’s co-accused Syed Faizan Raza, Haseemuz Zaaman, Maham Javaid, and Ali Gull Pir had filed the same application, and the court also rejected their applications. But they all were present at the court on the day of the hearing except the main accused Meesha. As a result, arrest warrants were issued for the main accused.

Ali Zafar Defamation Case Against Meesha Shafi

After Meesha accused renowned singer, Ali Zafar of harassment, the singer was not found guilty of the crime. Later, He filed a petition for cross-investigation and nominated Meesha and her accomplices for defaming him. The FIA Special Court ordered to lodge FIR against the nominees. Shafi, Haseemuz Zaman Khan, actor-host Iffat Omar, Fariha Ayub, Maham Javaid, Leena Ghani, Ali Gul, Syed Faizan Raza, and Humna Raza were charged. The case is being heard at the Hon’ble Lahore High Court.
